T-Recks

#7349 3 months, 3 weeks ago
Hey guys. Just thought I'd post a dinosaur I have been working on lately. After I took the David Krentz workshop I have an increased knowledge of dinosaur anatomy and it greatly improved my understanding of these creatures.

Note that this dinosaur is not meant to be a traditional dino, but a sci-fi/fantasy dinosaur with a lot of monstrous qualities.

This dinosaur is a different creature from the classic t-rex. This dinosaur lives on an alien planet and is around eighty feet tall.

I hope you all enjoy my work so far.

Hey guys I just came across an awesome t-rex sculpt today and I as wondering if I should apply these types of scales to my dino. What do you think?

Anytime you can explore new techniques you should give it a go. You could have a lot of fun with the insert mesh brushes if you build a library of individual scales. You could really go to town with that.

I´d wish to see the results when transferred to a displacement map.
There were some areas that were close to some overhang.
But size-wise they would certainly match your needs.
